Most of them are using mobile phones. They are saying that cell phones are going to overrule laptop. They are more affordable to buy and easier to carry around. It would change the way to raise money and get money. It is worth understand for people with low income to have cell phones. People are staring to like having cell phone to go on the internet, its growing rapidly in developing countries, over 61% of the world 2.7 billion cell phone users are developing countries to only 10% of the worlds 1 billion interment users.

Nowadays there is a higher demand for using disk defragmentor software. This helps our computers store more information closer together than we could otherwise. The reason that this is so important is because our computers are needed to hold even more data and software than they have had to before. This means that every bit of small space is needed to increase the performance and the storage space in our computers. A very easy and innovative way to do that is to use disk defragmentation.

Moore's law describes an important trend in the history of computer hardware. A trend that shows the number of transistors per square inch on integrated circuits will be doubled every year. This question relates back the decreasing prize of memory chips and it memory chips were to be stoped being produced it will eventually make Moore's Law Extinct.

I really think that in 2020 the tv generation will complitley be different.
They will be so much more advanced that we will be throw away our Plasma's and our LCD's, just like were doing now with our regular big tv.
I love the idea of a plasma because its just SEXY. The flat big screen is just so elegant to me and fits any room.

the Google company has come out with a newly updated version of iGoogle that improves the users experience a better platform for publishers and developers. The new iGoogle provides what Google is calling a canvas view. Like the maximize button in Windows or the "+" button in Max OS X, it expands a small Gadget window to take up most of the available browser window space. Gmail users can now access Gmail from their iGoogle page. the older iGoogle Gmail Gadget provided a preview, but not complete access. Canvas view also provides game widgets

Micron Technology, one of the world's largest producers of memory chips, is closing down its NAND flash memory production facility in Boise, Idaho and will cut 15 percent of its 22,600-person work force, the company announced October 9th.NAND flash memory- Flash Memory is a non-volatile computer memory that can be electrically erased and reprogrammed. It sis a technology that is primarily used in memory cards and USB flash drives for general storage and transfer of data between computers and other digital products.

Smartphones such as BlackBerry, iPhone, Windows Mobile-, or Symbian are said to be the new computers.They are able to do most of what a computer is able to do. Many phoen companies are partenering up with software companies to make their cell phones more like computers. GM is planning on making an application that will let smartphone users know vehicle sales information, financial performance, manufacturing metrics, and project management status. The downsides of using a laptop include battery life being too short, rebooting takes too long, their heavy and theres always of possibilities of a laptop being stolen because people often have to leave their laptops inside of their cars.

Apple is coming out with a new laptop that has is cheaper than most laptops. Its full retail price would of been about $1,000 or more. Apple took off about 200 dollars of the price to make it $800 dollars. The Apple is still better than most low cost PC's which make it more benificial for Apple to get more money. The MacBook brick is a process that uses lasers and jets of water to carve the MacBooks out of a brick of high-quality, aircraft grade aluminum.

BlackBerry Storm. Some new features of the BlackBerry Storm is that is touch screen. The articale also says that this is basiclly Verizons come back to Apple's iPhone. This new phone still supports all the features of the old one. This phone also has built-in instant messenger and has GPS capibilities.

No i havent heard of clickerjacking but from reading the artivle i found out alot. Clickerjacking is a technique that is commonly used to hijack a computers webcam and or microphone to create a malicious surveillance platform. By this it could be used to spy on people, but it does affect a variety of software applications. You can defend it by put tape over your camera and disable your microphone.

AT&T did a survey/research on what their customers think about texting on 1,000 adults btw the ages of 18-55. the survey shows that their customers find it easier to talk, flirt, or keep a relation ship going by just knowing when to say the right thing. 68% of the people taking the survey said they sent a love note via text messaging while 67% use texting to flirt.

The European media has been rife with rumors and reports that the smart phone will be unveiled Thursday.
The touch screen is said to have advanced consumer-oriented features.
It has what the iphone has and much more, plus Wi-Fi.
In my personal opinion i that the iphone wont get outdated but that it will lose value and the interest of many people.

IBM was one of those original large PC corporations. As large as they were, even they could not compete with Windows Office Suite. They did give them a run for thier money back in the 90's. But lately, they have adopted a new strategy to be competitive. Read about thier software, LOTUS at:



*IMB came out with a new program called iNotes. A free web application that lets people access their notes, emails, calendar, and contacts list through Apple's safari browser on apple's iPhone. IMB is trying to enter Apple's market.

Mac vs. PC continues.........

Basically what I understand from this article is that the comercials that we see on T.V of all the people that use Mac, were done on a Mac computer [ofcourse].
It is also saying that for microsoft to think that Mac wouldnt use there own company is dumb because they like to use there designs and layouts.
So basically microsoft has come to the conclusion that Windows is not the only program used by "people" and that the "I am a PC" is cleary a good indication of that.

No I do not know anything about robotics.
And really dont know what it is about so I couldnt
tell you if anyone is interested I it.
If robotics was offered in this school I really
wouldnt take it because Im not interested in stuff like that.
Programming classes are something I wouldnt take either.

But in my point of view i really think that its a good idea.
At my old school we had 7 periods and the academic classes were year round and electives were semester long.
I feel bad that they decided to do that next year because the seniors next year will have it rough.

Palin Gets Hacked.

Sarah Palins email got hacked very simple.
Its got hacked my Tennesse state Rep. Mike Kernell son.
He was able to get simple information from google such as her birthday, and zipe code.
He was also able to get information about where Sarah and her husband met.
It could also be a publicity stunt that made the democrats look bad in the end.
In my opinion if this person was a real "hacker" then he should have been more discrete about it and not use simple internet search site which will get him caught.

I think its good because not many people do watch the news so if something that they use very often helps keep them informed with whats going on with the campaigns. But then on the other hand i do think that they should offer it on other phones not only the ipone because not everyone can afford the ipone.

Awareness With Technology.


Well personally i think that if a person as an individual wants to be more informed and wants to keep up with the world and new things, then the news is always a good resource to help someone.
I also think that in many homes and many public places there are computer for people to use and stay updated. So that is also an idea. The government may use technology to aid in natural disaster in the way that for example they know when a hurricane will come because they have weather radar around the state and around the world.
The government may react emergencies using technology. With new designed planes, trucks..etc that are designed for that special line of work.

My Opinion!!! on the Power Point Presentation Work

Well in my opinion i really think that i was able to understand it. But im not that good with computers. So I would really like to have more help with knowing how to use the "new" kind of Microsoft Office....other than that i liked doing it. I was interesting from the other kind of work we do in here. Just my opinion.

Warm up Sept. 22 [CERN gets hacked]

Basically the article is talking about how important CERN is to the company.
It also shows then that they need better security with there network.
So later on it wont get defaced again.
Tim Berners-Lee who invented the worldwide web while working for CERN.
There level of security is expected to be very high and so if they end up getting hacked
then it shows that this never works, security is not secure.

Sandisk has an Compact flashcard it is the companys largest CF storage device for professional digital photographers and videographers. The higher-capacity card is aimed at people who use high-definition camcorders. Photographers, the additional capacity is useful for storing pictures shot in RAW format. A Smart Garment is basically a garment that can sense. They allow instant and reliable monitoring of the bodys vital signs.

Apple has teamed up with Nike to improve there athletic monitoring products.
Both Apple and Nike are combining there products, Ipod and Nike running shoes.
Suggested that the runners can improve there skills by listening to there shoes, comparing there times with other runner based on there physical traits, age, and weight.
Nike offers a compatible kit that can be used in many of there running shoes which goes for $29.

Diference between Operating Systems & Application Software.

The difference between Operationg Systems and Application Software is that Operating Systems is performed by basic tasks, such as being able to recognize input from the keyboard and output to the display screen, also keeping track of files and directories on the disk, and controlling devices such as disk drives and printers.

Context Clue

A Context clue that I found while reading the textbook "Operating Systems" is the word Circuitry. After continuing my reading i realized that the inside of the computer oraganized the electronic signals so that they display properly. The word Circuitry means that its something in then computer that the computer uses to stay organized.

I love using computers when it comes to using myspace and shopping but in the back of my mind i always wondered how safe it was to use.

Almost everywhere you go on the web you can buy or purchase it. It has come to the point were the web can keep you from leaving your house from doing everyday things, like grocery shopping or buying clothes, even paying your bills. If you have a credit card you have it all in todays society. But really how secure is it for you to put your information on the world wide web?
